Baby Registry

We set up the beginnings of our baby registry today at "Babies R. Us". It was quite the commical event as we paraded through the store with a scanner gun. There were a few things we knew we wanted, but there were some that we just thought "eh, that would probably come in handy". I think it was obvious we are first time parents :)
We know Christmas is right around the corner, and we have already had a few people asking for lists etc. We figured setting up a registry is probably the easiest way to do things.

Enjoy :)

Know of anything crucial we should add???

Emotional Rollercoaster...

- August 23rd, 2007

This was probably the most emotional day we have ever been through together. We went from one extreme of emotions to the other. No matter what, God is good. He is consistantly faithful and has proven himself trustworthy over and over and over again. The day ended with joy and thanksgiving.

The entire day before, Karen had been experiencing uncomfortable cramping, and just didn't feel right all day long. That next morning, she went to the bathroom and experienced what she thought was a miscarriage. Completely devestated, we held each other, cried together and just sat together. Both of our moms came over as soon as they could. They comforted us, and prayed with us. Pastors and close friends at the church were praying for us.
We called our midwives, and they scheduled us an appointment at the Loudoun County Imaging Center to get a sonogram. At this point, we really thought we had lost the baby. Sure enough though, as soon as the lady placed the camera on my belly, we saw Little Bit squirming around, heart beating 150 beats per second, and raising it's hands as it was praising the Lord. We both just started to cry and hold on to each other. We just went from extreme emotions of loss to extreme emotions of joy and blessing.
It turns out Karen had a "Subchorionic Hemmorraghe". A blood clot had been forming on her untrine wall the day before (hence the cramping) and she passed the clot the next morning (hence the bleeding).
We are praying and believe that God is healing her body, and that she will not experience anymore blood clots, or complications.
